Just bought some redex For the car, if I fill up £20 can I still put some in. On the bottle it says use 1/2. So £20 petrol roughly 1/4 bottle?

Will it still work?

Thanks

Redex Petrol Treatment

2.5ml of Redex per 1L of fuel

£20 ~ 15L

15 x 2.5ml = 37.5ml = approx 1/6 250ml bottle

Dont expect instant or life changing results - at best it cleans up your injectors/fuel system over several fill-ups which may or may not improve running/mpg a little bit.

A lot of people consider additives a waste of money.

Personally I do use something like this (Millers ECOmax) on my petrol cars once every few months just to clean up the gum that accumulates in the fuel system and the carbon on the injectors/piston crowns/valve stems. I have faith that it works - although no proof that it does.

Only reason I'm asking is that I suffer from the limp mode frequently when driving, BUT this past week it hasn't happened which is strange, not that I'm complaining. So I'm thinking its not enough fuel getting in? Correct me if I'm wrong though. I have changed the MAF. I'm about to order a new fuel filter, cat, air filter, HT leads, spark plugs and hope that will help a bit more

Buy cheap diesel additive in France for regular long drive home and found it does make a noticeable difference in mpg and tends to cope with long big hills better as well. Used the whole bottle for one tank instead of half bottle first time out and it didn't complain but wouldn't recommend it just in case.
